Printmaking, relief process. Framed, art gallery wrapped.
A tribute to Linotype letterpress printing. The organization of the Linotype keyboard, whose letters were arranged according to the frequency of use in English. Thus the first two vertical columns were most often ETAOIN SHRDLU, a line that was frequently found printed because the typographers who made a typing error were completing the current line by sliding their fingers down to the bottom of the keyboard. As the matrices in a Linotype descend through the Assembler Front, they fall freely for some distance and then travel on a diagonal belt, it was too long to fix a typing error.
Signed small limited edition printmaking by the artist. Unframed art gallery wrapped canvas. This work will ships flat in a sturdy, well protected cardboard box, woodbox available upon request.
